regular
我们以往听到的「老主顾、熟客」英文不会直翻成 old customers，而是 regular customers，因为 regular 这个单字就有「经常」的意思，可以用来形容经常光顾店面的客人，或是更简略的直称「常客」为 regular.
She was a regular of ours until the store next door opened a couple of weeks ago.
直到几周前隔壁店面开业，她一直都是我们的老主顾。
Since I’m a regular, they always give me a good discount.
因为我是这家店的常客，所以他们总是会帮我打折。
学霸
a straight-A student
这是近年来常见的网路流行语，由于 straight-A 是指「每一科成绩都拿 A 」，所以国外久而久之就用a straight-A student 来表示这个学生「成绩极好、超会念书」。
Jimmy is a well-known straight-A student in our school.
Jimmy 是我们学校很有名的学霸。

be terrible with directions / have a poor sense of direction
英文中其实并没有一个独立的名词来概括「路痴」，因此，建议用 be terrible with directions 或是 have a poor sense of direction 来形容「方向感很差、对方向完全没概念」。
Sherry can’t go anywhere without Google Maps. Obviously, she has a poor sense of direction.
Sherry 不管去哪里都要依赖 Google Maps，很明显地，她就是个路痴。
菜鸟、新手
rookie / newbie
rookie 最常套用在新兵或运动员身上，像是刚进 NBA 的新秀选手，在体育新闻常常会看到这个单字。而 newbie 原指打网路游戏或程式的新手，后来也衍伸为「某个领域的新手」。
